Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her career began in Mexico with starring roles in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) and for which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. With appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly established herself in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also co-produced, made her the first Mexican actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6In addition, she earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on producing , and was also in action-oriented films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
