She graduated from high school at New World School of the Arts where she was trained in various forms of dancing. At New World, she received numerous scholarships to attend the Alvin Ailey summer intensive which eventually led her to join the second company, Ailey II. In the following year, at Florida State University she received a Bachelors of Applied Economics as well as a second Bachelors in Interdisciplinar Social Science. After realizing that she was blessed with a vast range of talents in dance along with a love for arts and culture, she began studying acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater in conjunction with James Brill. She has worked in the field of film and television in projects including the HBO series Lovecraft Country, Vinyl, The Get Down, the Netflix original show The Get Down, and Scary Movie 5. She has also played the role in the role of Cinderella at Lincoln Center In the Little Orchestra society's production of Cinderella. The actress had the privilege of traveling across in the US and Canada performing in Disney's The Lion King and most recently appearing as part of the Broadway company.
