Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Madekwe is English as well as her father was Nigerian. Her family was on the South London Council Estate and attended The Brit School aged 14. She studied acting in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She appeared in many stage productions during her college days, such as King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. Also, the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also starred as the main character on How to lose friends & betray people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was then ended. In February, she was cast 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe had appeared in all episodes of the show's second season as the show's regular. In May 2013, the announcement was made that she would be departing the show following her guest appearance in the first episode of the series' third season. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba on the show Salem. From June to July 2012, she married her long-time boyfriend, actor Iddo Goldberg. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. Her family included the parents Roy and Patty along with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey throughout the winter and summer months. She grew up in baseball and arenas. Ashley did not walk; instead, she danced. At age two and half, she found Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered her love for dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley competed in ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. She won the top soloist awards at all of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
