Coleman is a Lancashire native. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received the highest marks in her A-level exams. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman admitted that she regretted not having a conventional college experience. Coleman was at high school, was part of a theatre group called In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. The show was awarded a prize to her for the show, and the production itself received a favorable reception. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was auditioning at drama schools. The audition took place in 2005. Coleman won two awards in 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated to win two awards, The British Soap Awards as the Best Newcomer, and the National Television Awards as the most Popular. In 2009, she received nominations for two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman received a TV Choice Award nomination in the category of Best Actress. The 21st of March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman will be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat has decided to cast her in the role as she had the strongest chemistry with Smith. Additionally, she was faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been active in the field for more than 30 years, and has been involved in numerous TV and film projects. Eva has been more prominent on TV than films. Eva is well-known for her work in the role of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. In fact, the part as the character Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children landed her 2 Daytime Emmy nominations. This allowed her to display her talent in music. Eva is an entrepreneur, in addition to an actress. Eva is married to three men and has a child from the second.
