Dua Lipa, an English singer-songwriter was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. The model signed with Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and released a self-titled first album in the year 2017. The album climbed up to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released including Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at number 6 in the United States. Lipa was honored with the Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in many nations. Her parents are Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha, and Dukagjin Lipa. She is of Bosnian heritage by her maternal grandmother. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who was the guitarist and singer in the Kosovan rock band Oda. Her father at home continued playing music which included his music and compositions, as well as songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics.
